Play Time

In this blog I want to touch on our approach to exercise and specifically our mindset.

The first thing I want you to do is either watch your child play for half an hour or think back to when you were a kid and the adventures and fun you used to have doing random things.

Now think. What positions did you see them get into? I guarantee they were squatting, jumping, crawling, running, climbing amongst many other crazy things.

How would you view doing this now?

At some stage in our lives most of us fall out of love with 'movement' and exercise. It becomes a chore a massive effort and burden to our everyday lives. It then gets harder to walk, run and jump around as our bodies get accustomed to limited movement and sedentary living.

How great would it be if we gained that play time back?

Work on your foundations like squatting, deadlifting, pressing, pulling and planks and then 'play'

Can you balance walking along a wall, how far can you jump, can you do a handstand?

Even better join in with your kids and see if you can keep up! You will be surprised.

Adopt a 'play' mentality to your fitness watch it flourish and notice how much more you will enjoy training and working out.

Check out my homepage on the website and look at how I 'play' on the beach with some awesome looking movements.
